Feb. 7 - Day Twenty-Five

I had an interesting chat with a young man in his early twenties today. He had been addicted to many drugs and had his dad walk out on him when he was younger. As we chatting the thing that came up the most was he always knew that he was better than what he was doing. It made me think of our relationship with Christ. The fact is that God doesn't see us as sinners but as saints, because He believes in us! He knows that we can do better but its not by our strength it is because of Christ. So no matter what you "feel" like remember that God sees you as a saint, go out and live like one today

Phil. 1:12-30
21For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. What a werid statement but when you think of it further you realize how true it is. When we are willing to let go (i.e. die) than we begin to realize what living is all about. We have to understand that many of us have been tricked by the world as to what a good life is. We have been lead to believe that more is better and so we try to get the biggest, the brightest and the most expensive we can find. However it is all a trap leading us down a path of emptiness. The more we get the less we are fulled. Werid, but true. The truth is the less we seek after in this world the more we can with being fulled with Christ.

That's pretty awesome that God the Almighty sees us as saints!!! That is totally wicked !!!!!!
''14Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.''
^^^ THAT IS AWESOME !!!!! This guy was in chains, CHAINS FOR CHRIST!!!
Would you actually go into chains ( be arrested), and still praise God and be able to praise him ???
- I'm not going to lie, I probably wouldn't in the beginning, but hopefully later I would be able too.

In cell groups, Erika asked us what do we think would be the most important things to us in 10 years.
First thing I put was '' Still Hopefully God''. I put the -still hopefully- in there because you never know where you will be. Kind of scary huh. But God knows, and he will take care of you!
--Goes back to the guy in chains. Will you still be praising God and living for him in 10 years, or will you become what Pd likes to call them '' youth groupies '' ???

Live your life for God, and don't let the troubles of the world or the trickiness of the world hold you back, If you have God, you will succeed in your journey !!!

13As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.

Is it evident to everyone around me that I am a Christian? Am I living a life that makes it clear to the people I see everyday that I am living for Christ?
Not always.
The closer I get to being a senior, the more I feel I need to be an example for the younger teens in the youth group. There were people that I looked up to when I was younger, who have now graduated, or are going to graduate this year. I need to be someone who anyone in the youth group can look up too, and I need to give back.
And also, Laney mentioned what we did in cell group on Wednesday night. What will be important in 10 years? And will I have left a legacy worthy of remembrance? (wow, I'm starting to sound like I'm the senior here...lol) This is something I've been dwelling on.

If anyone thinks I'm doing or saying something un-Christlike, than, by all means, say so! We all, as a youth group, need to keep each other accountable.
