Feb. 11 - Day Twenty-Nine

Have you ever watched something on TV and just wonder what planet people are living on? I was watching the Grammy's last night and I swear people in Hollywood or the music industry live on a completely different planet. I mean some of the speeches that were given just make me shake my head and laugh out loud. I really do feel bad for people that have been tricked by the devil to believe that living the good life is all about what you can get out of it. These peoples lives have been sold out to one thing and that is selling themselves to the god of pocessions. And here we are just soaking it in and watching every move they make. In some ways this is totatly random but for the most part it is my spirit convicting me more than anything. No matter what we gain, in the end we will lose it all.

Phil.3:12-21
12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Boy I needed to hear this verse today. Great encouragement for me to keep on going until God calls me home.

My brother Jeremy asked me about a week ago this question : Do you really need to know about what is going on in a celebrities life? Will it honestly kill you to know ? :
-- I guess we really do get caught up in other peoples lives ( mainly celebs ) when we should really be focusing on our lives and our relationship with Jesus Christ!

Like Pastor Dan said, what we gain on this earth means nothing because we all loose it when we die!
So, a challenge for this week for all of you can be this : Whatever earthly object means a lot to you ( like a cell phone, computer, tv, ect..) try not to worry about it or use it that much, cause it means nothing.

Thanks for the comment laney, I think it is important that we evaluate not only what we do but what we see through a Biblical filter. I realize it is tough for us to escape this world but there are times that we need too. By the way, Frosty was never a movie only a short film in 1954, in fact it was only 3 minutes long! Sorry to burst your bubble:))

Oh no Pd,
it is a movie. A short film is still a movie. It still counts!!!
It was a short film ( MOVIE ) first, then it became this popular annoying kids fairy-tell tv special.

Oh, and my bubble hasn't burst yet thank you very much :)
