Feb. 19 - Last Day (Day 37)

Boy when it rains, it pours. So I had missed the last few days leading up to the weekend because of not feeling well. And then this weekend my computer picks up a virus that I had to take off Internet Explorer and put it back on. Then my bathroom wall falls in. Crazy few days, but here we are the last day of the 180 Challenge!!!!!!
Now there are many important things to think through as we wrap this up, first of all, how'd you do? Was it easy or hard to stay on track. Did you find yourself missing one day and than another only to find it was hard to get back in the swing of things? What did God show you through His Word? Was there a significant verse that challenged you or made you stop doing something? What about the other transformed challenges? Did you try any of those? And I would love to hear about it.
Still the best and most important question is what do you do from here? There is a reason why we don't do the 180 Challenge forever because you and I as believers need to learn to develop our own quality time with the Lord. It is a discipline that only develops as you practice it. I heard a great quote the other day that goes something like this. "Don't let a lack of sincerity be an excuse for disobedience" Many times we hestitate to go to God because we don't feel like it or our hearts just not in to it. But don't let that be an excuse to miss time with God. Many times it is only out of a faithful obedience that God gives us a joy in our hearts. I believe is a trick of the devil to keep us from God. Basically anything that stops you spending time with God is no good. So take the lessons you learned from the 180 Challenge and apply them to your own personal time. That would be the best way to honor God and make me know that you got it.
Anyhow thanks for going the long haul with me. Don't forget to get plugged in to what is going on Sunday nights. Love you guys!!!!

Col. 4
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. May each us be devoted to prayer and a thankful heart. God has so richly blessed us may we have thankful hearts.

Wow, the final day of the challenge - kinda sad. :( But also happy, because we can take what we've learned and apply it to our own lives.
-- Hope you get feeling better Pd!!!
So, if you read Pd's post, email him and tell him what you thought of the challenge!!!

Well, Colossians 4 was a cool chapter.
It talks of prayer, which is one of my favorite things to do!!!
-Prayer is a wonderful thing.
Like I posted in the beginning, 90% of people pray, but only 10% believe that it is heard and/or answered. - that's sad.

Prayer is a valuable thing, and shouldn't be taken lightly. It's your personal time with God, your chance to pour out your heart to him and to share personal things.

Like Pd said a while back- it's a time to be Broken. Just broken before the Lord. - It's hard because as people, we like to use our proud factor! Which can be good, but it can destroy you if you let it.

A challenge that you can do, is this week, try being broken before God. just tell him everything, and confess your sins. - just be broken.

Well, hope to see everyone tonight at youth group, and thanks for doing the 180challenge.

So, any post challenge thoughts???
How has life been since the challenge?

Pd, it be cool if you answered this too !!!

Just curious ya know?
For me, it's been really interesting.
I've gotten a lot of challenges, and some good times. But still, those challenges are really starting to overcome me and over power me in a way.

So, if anyone reads this, pray for me.
