Sorry I missed yesterday, I didn't even realize it until I went to write today's. I thought I did but it must have been the day before. So how is the start of the second week going? It gets harder and harder to have constancy in your life but that is actually what we need to do. Growth helps must with the daily choices to do things God's way. Like what Pastor Josh talked about last week, the more we daily choose Him the farther that line appears to be and the less we are tempted by those things. I hope you are doing well, it is my prayer even now as I am writing this that you may be discovering for yourself that God is good.
Gal. 5:1-15
13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. 14The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. My prayer is that this would be true for each of us. May we stop devouring each other but learn to serve one another. Let me know what you think.

Verses 14 and 15 really stuck out to me too. I feel like my friends are like that a lot with each other, and it gets really easy for them just to tear down each other even though they say they're 'best friends'. It didn't used to bother me really, but lately its made me really sad just to see the way they treat one another and even complete strangers. Most of them aren't Christians so they don't always see what the big deal is and it makes it kinda of hard to not join in with them, but I've been working on it and getting better at staying out of it and avoiding it.
I thought it was super cool that this verse popped up in our devos. I think i really needed to see it. It was just an encouragement to keep working on it to avoid the consequence of ignoring it.....
Thanks Elyse, that is hard not to join others in tearing people down. I was even reminded of it as I was watching American Idol tonight. It can be fun and easy but it can quickly turn to mean and hurtful especially amoung friends. I agree with your appproach, it is up each person to make the choice not to and stand firm on that principle. Thanks for the comment, I will be praying for you
